Arts Commission

The £1 Arts Commission could be yours!

We’re giving one £1 commission away per month!
(see rolling programme of dates below)

We encourage you to enter the £1 Arts Commission scheme!

What can you do with a £1?

( As well as the opportunity for those selected to have their £1 art commission manifestation published in the 3rd issue of The Eccentric City, scheduled release date December 2008 ).

About:

Here at The Eccentric City we are proudly offering a monthly rolling programme called the £1 Arts Commission (this is not a joke - we are serious about this!). Yes, we want to encourage the delights of eccentric behaviour, believing that huge amounts of money doesn’t always encourage the powerful force of eccentricity to manifest its full effect! The Eccentric City will give one £1 commission per month to the person or group with an idea it wishes to help make happen!

Please see below the table of submission
closing times for receiving proposals.

What we need:

Free to enter of course!

We are prepared to receive any form of proposal that best expresses what you want to do with £1 for the making of an eccentric creation!

Please send proposals directly to us:

Via the Contact us section on this website

Or directly to eccentriccity@hotmail.co.uk

Or post it to:

The Eccentric City.
c/o The Edge,
79-81 Cheapside,
Digbeth,
Birmingham,

The selection process:

The Eccentric City co-creators will choose from the entries and make the final selection. This being Harry Palmer and Professor Si Walker will make the decisions. Their decision is final.

If you miss the deadline, we will roll over your proposal to the following next deadline.

What we offer

The Eccentric City will announce its £1 commission each month. In return we will encourage you by offering you the opportunity to have your commission published in the third issue of The Eccentric City (we currently publish between 4000-5000 copies of the paper worldwide, per year).
